At Pentland Primary School, we follow Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence. You can find more information about Curriculum for Excellence on Education Scotland’s website.
At primary school, Curriculum for Excellence is organised into different levels for different stages:
- Early Level (Nursery and Primary 1)
- First Level (Primary 2 – Primary 4)
- Second Level (Primary 5 – Primary 7)
- Some learners will work on Third Level outcomes before the end of primary school.
Above is an approximate outline of the stages of Curriculum for Excellence that your child’s class teacher will plan from. Some learners will achieve these levels before or after these stages.
